STUDIO RENTAL

To cement its lead position as the premier photo studio rental in the country, DPI raised the bar by opening bigger and better studios right in the hub of the advertising industry—Makati. Thus, the name DPI XL Studios.

Built on what used to be four badminton courts of Powersmash on Pasong Tamo, DPI XL Studios is home to three large photo studios, each one 100 square meters (1076 square feet) big and 5.2 meters (17 feet) high. Two of the studios can be combined into a singular 200 square meter (2152 square foot) space.

Each studio has a four-seater dressing room (not included in the 100 square meter space), with its own toilet and changing rooms.

The studios have also become quite popular for video shoots. While they are not as large as established video and film studios, the adequate size and lower rental rates make them attractive for smaller video shoot requirements.

We also have video equipment available for rent. You can check them out here.

You may also want to check out our photo studios in Astoria Plaza Hotel in Pasig City. They’re smaller, but the rates are lower. Click here for more info.

OTHER AMENITIES

Our years of experience in running a studio rental have taught us that space is important—not just inside the studio, but also outside. Large shoots, especially, include production artists, propsmen, assistants, and representatives from the agency and the client—and they need a space to wait and hang out during the shoot.

DPI XL Studios’ lobby was designed with those requirements in mind. Around 60 sqm big, it can comfortably seat fifty or more people during meals. Right adjacent to it is a fully functional kitchen, which clients or caterers can use to prepare their meals.

STUDIO EQUIPMENT

For photo shoots, the following equipment are included in the rental:

  1. three 800 watt Aurora strobes
  2. two 300 watt Falcon Eyes strobes
  3. various light modifiers and accessories such as soft boxes,
umbrellas, honeycomb grids, snoots, barn doors, gels
  4. posing stools and chairs and risers
  5. backgrounds

PHOTO PRINTING, FILM SCANNING, and COLOR MANAGEMENT

Despite being the newest professional digital lab in the country, DPI has come to be known for its high-quality prints and scans. That’s because DPI applies the principles of color management in its lab processes.

In digital imaging systems, color management is the controlled conversion between the color representations of various devices, such as, in our case, your computer monitor and our photo printers. The primary goal of color management is to obtain a good match across color devices.

If you have any concerns regarding your prints not coming out the same way as your image does on your monitor, you may want to read these articles that are featured in our other website, dpiphotocenter.com. Click here to go directly to the url regarding color management concerns. (This goes to the color management section of dpihotocenter.com)

You can read more about our printing here and our film scanning here.

FAMILY TREASURES

Family Treasures is DPI’s archiving service specifically designed and priced for families or individuals.

Most families are not aware that photos and negatives are highly susceptible to deterioration when they are not stored under ideal conditions. Families normally keep their photo albums in cabinets or closets, some of which get damp in the rainy season or get hit by direct sunlight. Either way, the negatives and photos will deteriorate, and the images will become increasingly difficult, if not impossible, to restore.

Family Treasures is a preventive measure against such an event. By scanning these images and saving them into a digital format, the images are then preserved for posterity. Multiple copies can be made and each member of the family can go home with a copy of the entire archive. And using photo editing software, the images can be restored to their former glory.

There’s constantly a special promo on the Family Treasures packages. Call 6336095 (Pasig Office) or 8137495 (Makati office) for inquiries or orders.
